Coyote Bend is owned and operated by myself, Kim Terpening and my husband Gordon, in Homer Alaska. We have made our home here since the 70's and love the natural beauty and vibrant art community we have here. Gordon and I, and our son, Traveler are all artists. In our accomodation you will notice many artistsic touches including custom tile work by myself, steel and wood gates and other touches by Gordon, and photography by Traveler.
We enjoy camping in the remote national forests on the other side of Kachemak Bay and hiking through the extensive trail system around our house. During the winter we can be found either skiing, or managing our other Bed and Breakfast in artsy Bisbee Arizona, [www.hummingbird-hill-house.com].
We love Homer and know you will too.
Gordon Terpening is a retired ships pilot and now enjoys alot of time working with steel in his studio. He is the chief supplier of smoked salmon in our family, so when you smell toasting apple wood, you would do well to make friends with him. He built much of our home and Coyote Bend Cabin, and all of the steel and wood gates and sculptures around the property. Click his portrait to see some of his work. |
